Who is Stanley?
July 8, 2010 No CommentsAnother star of the international Oracle firmament jetting in especially for Insync 10 is Fujitsu’s Debra Lilley. A Principal Business Consultant with Fujitsu UK, Debra is also a director with UKOUG and an Oracle ACE Director. She is ubiquitous in the Oracle User Group world and is often a keynote speaker at User Group meetings all over the world but mainly in Europe and the US, so we are very lucky she’s agreed to fly all the way down under for Insync 10. You can catch her blog here, or track her tweets by following @debralilley
Those lucky enough to attend Insync 09 will remember Debra’s insights on all things Applications, particularly on Fusion and Applications Unlimited – areas Oracle ensures she is fully up-to-date at all times. Primarily focussed on the business value applications – particularly Oracle applications – deliver, Debra’s insights on how to maximise investment in these suites are among the most valuable you’ll hear. A measure of her credibility on all these matters and the regard with which Oracle views her is the 2008 Oracle Evangelist of the year award she won for helping “members succeed and [user] groups flourish”
To help you plan to ensure you don’t miss her two presentations, make a note of the following:
1. Applications Unlimited and Fusion Applications – the next five years – 9.00am, Tuesday August 17th in rm 105
2. Thinking of supporting or extending Fusion Applications – 12.00pm, Tuesday August 17th in rm 108
We caught up with Debra last time she visited our shores and asked her about the role SOA has in enriching an application investment:
Debra is a leading light in the world of Oracle ACE Directors – the committed and dedicated non-Oracle acolytes of the Oracle Technology Network . Along the way, Debra has also collected another important – and amusing – responsibility…as the chronicler of The Adventures of Stanley. For more on this visit The Stanley Blog.
If we’re lucky – Stanley might even make an appearance!
